Well well well...we found ourselves in the northern Ohio area in early June 2023 because I wanted to see The Cure play outside of SoCal. The results of that are a video for another day. But since we planned to be in the Cleveland area, we naturally decided to spend some time and use our Cedar Fair pass at America's Roller Coast, Cedar Point. I experimented with only doing 1 lap of filming at the end of our trip and I didn't like it as much as filming as we went. But otherwise I think there's some interesting stuff here. Still working on how to best use this new camera so some of the audio isn't great, but stay for the visuals. Enjoy the coasters!
Visiting California's Great America - June 2023!
In the early 2000s, this was our home park. Then we moved away in 2005 and haven't been back since. Well, with the rumors that owner Cedar Fair is looking to close down Great America in the next few years, we decided to put our CF passes to use and head up to Santa Clara for the weekend. And as a warm-up for our pending late summer trip, my sister decided to join us. We picked up 3 new credits and finally got to enjoy Gold Striker and Railblazer. It was a fun, nostalgic weekend. Check out a handful of coasters with us, along with a dash of non-coaster rides, and enjoy this book report!
Dorney Park, August 2021: Big fun at a smaller Cedar Fair park in PA!
Another winner in the Cedar Fair chain, Dorney Park is one of the smaller regional parks operated by Cedar Point's corporate owner. We rode 5 coasters and a handful of other rides in our partial day before we drove down to Hershey, PA. None of the rides here are breaking records, but they're well-run and we got a touch of nostalgia from the first-generation Intamin freefall ride, transplanted from Cedar Point a few years back (Demon Drop). Hydra and Talon are solid B&Ms, and Steel Force is another Morgan hyper that still packs some fun. Hot and good times in PA, with more to come. Enjoy!
