After a whirlwind April, and before an expected exhausting June, we kinda took May off. But since it we had the long Memorial Day weekend to look forward to, a quick overnighter to visit some local theme parks seemed like a good idea. We started off with a few coaster rides at Knott's before taking a walk around the park to see the new Fiesta Village and stopping by the saloon. Our next stop was to be lunch at Porto's, which did not go as planned. Then we wrapped up with some shopping at Disney California Adventure and an evening at Trader Sam's (not captured on video). A quick shout out to the viewer(s) that said hi at the Westin - thanks for watching and sorry for being confused at first! Enjoy!
Knott's Berry Farm, Easter 2023. A walk around the park and a few Boysenberry Festival treats.
After almost a year between visits, we made it back to Knott's Berry Farm on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. Mostly we took the opportunity to walk around the park on a beautiful morning wearing our Sunday best. We did ride a couple of attractions and dabbled in this year's Boysenberry Festival offerings. The festival is almost over at this point, so I don't know if I'd make any specific recommendations. We also ran into a couple of friends from the tiki community that we hadn't seen in a few years (not pictured) which was an unexpected treat. Oh and there's an overview of the Boysenberry Festival art exhibit. Casual trip - come check out Knott's with us and...Enjoy!
Kevin & Val Go To.., Knott's Berry Farm, March 2022. It's Boysenberry Festival Time.
Hashtag TABLIFE weekend concludes at Knott's Berry Farm for a visit to the 2022 Knott's Boysenberry Festival. It was a busy Sunday so no rides for us, but we found a number of great boysenberry-inspired treats to enjoy and time to relax amongst the crowds. If you go to the Boysenberry Festival on the weekend, pack your patience pants, make a plan, and get enjoy!
Knott's Berry Farm - first visit since the re-opening.
Berry Tales 4-D, HangTime, and other rollercoasters!
While Knott's had been open in the form of food festivals for most of the pandemic, regular operations just restarted in the 2nd half of May 2021. The food festivals were a lot of fun, but at the same time it was a bummer to see all of the rollercoasters sitting idle. With that in mind, we set a May 29, 2021 park reservation and prioritized the "new to us" attractions of HangTime and Berry Tales 4-D followed by Xcelerator and Montezooma's Revenge. Pretty much the same M.O. as our other park visits - get there early, ride 3-4 attractions while the park fills up, and then walk around, grab a beer, get some food, etc. (not *that* Food Etc. however). Great trip overall - enjoy!
